About

Mike Crane

Mike Crane creates captivating artwork from the ordinary through a combination of creative vision, photographic skill, Fine Art retouching, printing and bespoke framing.

17/8.
More than a date. The beginning of perspective.

The day I picked up my first professional camera. Arla — our dog — stood in front of it. That was the moment everything aligned.

I didn’t just want to photograph dogs.
I wanted to create portraits.

Intentional. Composed. Technically exact.
Images that place your dog at the centre — never an accessory, never secondary — but the focal point of their own story.

My background is in engineering. Precision. Timing. Detail.
Today, that same discipline shapes every frame — light, balance, expression. Nothing accidental. Everything considered.

And yet, never contrived.

Dogs live in the present. They run without hesitation. They love without reserve.

My role is to recognise that spirit — and distil it into a single frame that feels both powerful and true.

Sessions take place entirely outdoors across The Cotswolds and Warwickshire. Calm. Directed with care. Your dog sets the tone. I refine the moment.

What we create isn’t simply photography.
It is fine art canine portraiture — bespoke wall art designed to live in your home and hold its presence.

From the Cotswolds to your walls.
